The inhabitants of the Mokattam rubbish district in Kairen are the protagonists of this film. Rubbish collectors, sorters and recyclers stand apart from the Arab Spring and yet are affected by its consequences. For Egyptians working in the rubbish sector, the hopes associated with the contrast with their experiences with the Egyptian government over the past decades. with the Egyptian government over the past decades.
